UTLC ERA: Shaanxi transportation companies are our excellent partners

Press about us

This year the company UTLC ERA JSC, a joint venture of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, participates in the Western Logistics & Transportation EXPO. Alexei Grom, General Director of the company, told about working with transport companies from Shaanxi province.

Alexei Grom notes that transport companies from Shaanxi province are perfect partners of UTLC ERA JSC and, one might say, close friends. During work at the exhibition, many meetings with local companies were held.

"We are delighted to be involved in such growth processes and, in a way, a qualitative transformation of both the Chinese economy and the countries along the "Belt and Road". The transport and logistics services we are building together with our partners form a reliable bridge between the strongest countries and economies," said Alexei Grom.

According to the company's data, in the challenging year of 2022, the company transported 681 thousand containers, almost equivalent to the record indicators of 2021.

Regarding the work during the pandemic, Alexei Grom stressed that large-scale changes in work formats did not prevent the company and its partners from showing promising results and demonstrating growth. For 2020-2021, the company nearly doubled its traffic volumes compared to a reasonably high 2019. The actual results then far exceeded the original plans.

Work on opening new directions and loading and unloading points is the daily work of the UTLC ERA JSC team and its partners. And if in 2015 there were only 15 complex China-Europe routes, today there are already more than 670 such routes.

In the current period, there is an intention not only to maintain the record growth rate of Eurasian transit but also to ensure all the conditions for its future growth. In 2023, the company expects China-Europe traffic to grow by up to 10%.

Alexei Grom believes now is an excellent chance to resume face-to-face interaction with Chinese partners and promote initiatives to make the company's services even more competitive. One such project is the further digitalisation of the transportation process, including introducing a digital consignment note and a digital package of supporting documentation.
