The first train of the series "Weihe-Western Europe" in import traffic from Kazakhstan to Heian was launched

On 17 October, a train from Kazakhstan arrived at Heian Station in Shaanxi Province and passed through the Alashankou checkpoint. The journey time was 17 days, saving about 7 days compared to sea transport. The launch of import railway communication with Kazakhstan, in its turn, will allow to organise rail shipments of agricultural products produced within a radius of 300 kilometres around Heian, westwards towards Central Asia, Eastern Europe or other foreign regions.
