  • WHAT IS UTLC ERA’S CORE BUSINESS?

    UTLC ERA manages the traffic of transit containers on fitting platforms via Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus by accelerated container trains on the People’s Republic of China – European Union – People’s Republic of China route. In 2022, UTLC ERA accounted for 90% of the total
    China–Europe–China traffic volume.

    Starting from 2018, UTLC ERA developed the so-called “broken transit” arrangements, whereby additional cargoes are loaded on China-bound trains in Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus.

    The customer demand for shipments to the Moscow Railway Junction stations has been rising since 2021. Today, it is the fastest growing transportation segment.

    What makes UTLC ERA unique is the three-state parity alliance. The company uses digital opportunities, expands its route networks and develops multimodal traffic. Hence, UTLC ERA ramps up its traffic volumes every year to cater for the growing demand.

  • WHAT IS THE MINIMUM NUMBER OF CONTAINERS PER REQUEST?

    A standard request to be accepted for transportation in an accelerated container train shall be at least 41 forty-foot containers. Fewer containers can be dispatched through our partners using UTLC ERA’s services.

  • DOES UTLC ERA MAINTAIN A CORPORATE SOCIAL POLICY?

    Corporate social responsibility activities form an integral part of UTLC ERA’s business. We care about what is going on around us.   • WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE TRANSPORTATION RATE?

    The transportation rate includes the following:

    • Rail tariffs charged by the Kazakhstan, Russian and Belarus Railways.
    • Fees for shift cargo escorting services.
    • Customs clearance as per the EAEU customs laws.
    • Cargo customs inspection fees.
    • Allocation of a fitting platform.
    • Break-of-gauge handling operations in the EAEU.
  • WHAT IS THE AVERAGE TRANSIT TIME ON UTLC ERA’S ROUTES?

    Transit:
    The average transit time on the China – Europe – China routes is 5 to 7 days.

    Export:
    From Russia to China – around 12 days.
    From Belarus to China – around 11 days.
    From Kazakhstan to China – around 7 days.

    Import:
    From China to Russia – around 7 days.
    From China to Belarus – around 8 days.
