UTLC ERA reduces tariffs for transportation of empty 40-foot and 45-foot containers

UTLC ERA reduces tariffs for transportation of empty 40-foot and 45-foot general purpose containers as part of regular container trains via the Europe – China (U EAST) link, transiting across the territories of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan.

“The consensus decision of our shareholders has allowed us to offer our customers exceptionally low tariff rates. I am certain this will bring about new growth points for container logistics. Diversion of empty containers towards the rail, on one hand, will balance container flows in the East-West corridor, whereas stabilizing the departure of containers trains and increasing the frequency of dispatches on the other. Furthermore, this will improve the container turnover rate on the China-Europe trade lane and would allow to avert the shortage of containers for loading in China”, - commented Alexey Grom, CEO of UTLC ERA
