UTLC ERA and BTLC Dispatch 64 Containers with Dairy Products from Belarus to China in January – April 2019

The Joint stock company “United Transport and Logistics Company – Eurasian Rail Alliance” (UTLC ERA) has shipped 64 containers with dairy products from the Republic of Belarus to China in cooperation with Belarusian Railway “Belintertrans – transport and logistic center” (BTLC State Enterprise) in January – April 2019. A total of 23 containers with milk and uncondensed cream have been dispatched from Brest to Zhengzhou, Chongqing and Wuhan, and 41 containers with powdered milk – from Kolyadichi station to Chongqing.

The time in transit on both routes constitutes 12 days. The transportation technology allows for the shipment of dairy products both as whole container trains or single containers as part of cargo trains, which helps meet customer’s demands in terms of transportation speed. The first container train with milk and cream was dispatched from Kolyadichi to Chongqing as part of the GREEN STREAM initiative – a joint project between UTLC ERA and BTLC – in October 2018.

“Over the recent years there has been a growing interest on behalf of Chinese consumers in high quality Belarusian dairy products. In 2018 China has become the third largest market for export of Belarusian powdered and condensed milk. UTLC ERA is focused on the further development of export deliveries of these goods to various cities in China. Presently we are working on organizing regular dispatches of Belarusian products to the People’s Republic of China,” – says UTLC ERA President Alexey Grom.
