UTLC ERA organized regular shipment of Belarusian foodstuff to China

Joint-stock company United Transport and Logistics Company – Eurasian Rail Alliance in cooperation with a freight forwarder – Belintertrans (BTLC State Enterprise), has developed a technology to form and forward full-length container trains from the Republic of Belarus to China. A new waypoint is Lupolovo station, where from a 41-feet container train loaded with powder milk was sent to Chungking on October 24, 2018.

“High speed and competitive railway services open new sales markets for Belarus goods manufacturers in China. This new business area is one of priorities for UTLC ERA,” Сompany President Alexey Grom shared.

Two months since the first container departed from Brest to Chengdu, geographic reach of Belarus export to China has expanded. UTLC ERA in cooperation with BTLC commenced regular shipment to Chungking, Chengdu, and Zhengzhou. The first full-length container train carrying confectionery and powder milk was sent from Kolyadichy station to Chungking in September, while, in October, the first train en route Kolyadichy – Chengdu followed.

“First containers loaded with food products – cheese, milk, and cream, were forwarded from Brest to Chengdu (PRC) on August 18, 2018, while containers with malt, butter and confectionery went on their way on August 29,” UTLC ERA Vice President Igor Zgurskiy said. “Another new route under GREEN STREAM, a co-project of UTLC ERA and Belintertrans, was launched in October: a container train loaded with milk and cream was sent from Kolyadichy to Chengdu. Now we have added Lupolovo station and will keep working on organizing a regular service en route Belarus – China.”

“We are successfully developing cargo traffic to Zhengzhou province: starting from August, over 40 forty-foot container trains carrying powder milk, confectionary, and alcoholic products departed from Brest station. Therefore, at present, a positive background has been created to organize a regular shipment of Belarus goods to China by railway transport,” Irog Zgursky added. UTLC ERA is creating new directions for container shipment en route U EAST under GREEN STREAM initiative – a co-project of UTLC ERA and Belintertrans, freight forwarding company.
